Willow Bend Park Now Open in Northeast Eugene

A new public park has quietly opened right here in our neighborhood. Willow Bend Park is Eugene’s newest park space and offers 25 acres of open land, river access, and room to slow down, explore, and gather with neighbors.
Formerly part of the River Ridge Golf Course, this area has long been identified as an important opportunity for public access to the Willamette River. Today, it is open for walking, casual recreation, and enjoying one of the more peaceful stretches of green space in Northeast Eugene.
Where it is
Willow Bend Park is located west of Umpqua Avenue, just west of the Nines subdivision off North Delta Road. It sits beyond Evergreen Village Apartments and is easily accessible from surrounding neighborhoods. Find it here on Google Maps.

About the Park
Willow Bend Park is a 25 acre parcel that blends open grassy space with natural riverfront and wooded areas. The park offers a flexible environment for recreation, relaxation, and informal community gatherings, while preserving much of the site’s natural character. Its walking paths and pedestrian river access make it a great place for a short stroll or a longer wander.
Future improvements, including a possible connection to the Ruth Bascom Riverbank Path System, will include opportunities for community input.
